Sciatica, lower back & disc pain
Understanding the drivers of your flare-ups and building the strength and control that keeps them from running your life.
Back pain & injury rehab · at your home · Hackney, London Fields, Clapton, Dalston & East London
Sciatica, disc pain, post-surgery recovery and injury rehab — assessment-led, one-to-one, in your own space. The bridge between treatment and fully living again.
Injury & back pain rehab
For anyone rebuilding after an injury, surgery or a flare-up who isn't quite ready for a group class environment. I work with sciatica, lower back and disc pain, hip and knee replacement recovery, bunion recovery and plantar fasciitis pain — using individual, corrective strategies built into a healthy, manageable plan with a long-term strategy.
I also work well as the bridge between osteopath or physio treatment and full activity. If you've finished that phase of care but aren't ready to jump into group classes or a full game of tennis, I help close that gap safely — rebuilding strength and control at the right pace before you're back to it.
Assessment comes before exercise, always: the kind of orthopedic testing a clinician would use, gait analysis, and manual muscle testing to find what's underworking or overcompensating — so the plan fits your body, not a template.
What we work with
Understanding the drivers of your flare-ups and building the strength and control that keeps them from running your life.
Feet matter: gait analysis plus targeted work for the chain from the ground up.
Rotator cuff, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, wrist fractures — progressive, individual strategies.
Assessment first
Identifying restrictions, imbalances and compensation patterns before we ever get to exercise.
How you walk tells me how you move through life — and what's driving pain further up the chain.
Testing each muscle's response shows which are underworking or overcompensating, so we strengthen what actually needs it.
Targeted strength work alongside precise, controlled Pilates — so the change holds up in daily life, not just for the length of a session.
Work with me
3 sessions to get to know each other and for you to get an understanding of how I work. All new clients start here; video homework keeps up the continuity between sessions.
One session every week of the month. Miss one and we'll arrange a catch-up.
FAQs
The first session is assessment-led precisely for this reason: we find out what your body is doing before we ask anything of it. Many clients come while managing pain, alongside their physio or osteopath. If something needs medical input first, I'll say so plainly.
I work with many clients managing disc pain — several came to Pilates on their physiotherapist's suggestion as an alternative to surgery. The goal is control: understanding your flare-ups and building the strength that keeps them from governing your life. It's not a medical treatment, and it works best alongside your clinical team.
That's exactly the gap I fill. I work well as the bridge between osteo or physio treatment and full activity — rebuilding strength and control at the right pace before you're back to group classes, running or sport.
Manual muscle testing reveals which muscles are underworking and which are overcompensating. It means we strengthen what actually needs it — rather than guessing — which is why results tend to last.
We work with your surgical team's guidance and timeline. Once you're cleared for structured exercise, sessions rebuild strength, balance and confidence gradually, entirely 1:1.
No — you just need a mat and some floor space. There's always the option to purchase other items down the line if the idea interests you. Sessions happen at your home across Hackney, De Beauvoir Town, London Fields, Clapton and Dalston.
All new clients start with the intro package — 3 sessions for £225. After that, most clients move to the monthly membership at £295: one session every week of the month, with a catch-up arranged if you ever miss one.
